This week on the Hub Program Spotlight we would like to feature University of South Carolina Aiken Men’s Golf, a program that competes in the NCAA D-II Peach Belt Conference. USC Aiken is one of the few fortunate programs to be able to continue competing in tournaments this fall during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The USC Aiken Pacers are led by head coach Michael Carlisle ([email protected]), who has been coach of the team for the past 28 years and played collegiate golf at Clemson. Carlisle was named to the GCAA Hall of Fame after the 2003-04 season, when the Pacers won the NCAA D-II National Championship.
Despite their Spring 2020 season being shortened, the USC Aiken Pacers will be competing in two events this Fall 2020 season. Last week, the Pacers won their first tournament of the season at the Camden Invitational!

The Pacers shot a three-day total of 896 for the win. Junior Bjorn Rosengren won the individual tournament with rounds of 72-63-72! And freshman Leo Jonansson finished as a runner up with rounds of 66-71-72. It was a superb start to open their season, and the team will compete again in two weeks at the 7th Annual UNG Fall Invitational.
We wish University of South Carolina Aiken Men’s Golf continued success this fall and beyond!
