This week on the Hub Program Spotlight we would like to feature Mississippi State University Women’s Golf. The Bulldogs compete as part of the NCAA D-I in the Southeastern Conference, and are led by new head coach Charlie Ewing (email@example.com). Ewing was recently hired in December 2020 and is excited to lead the team moving forward.

Having served as the assistant coach of Mississippi State University Men’s Golf for the past three years, Ewing has led the Bulldogs to success already. In his first two seasons, he helped lead the team to two consecutive NCAA Regional finishes. The team has also won two tournament titles since 2017, and during his time with the program, five of his players have earned GCAA Academic All-America honors. 10 have made the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Said Ewing, “I can’t wait to work with the group of young women we have and begin the recruiting process to add many more future Bulldogs to represent Mississippi State University! Hail State!”
Mississippi State Men’s and Women’s Golf is also fortunate to have an indoor practice facility! Check it out here
Known as “The Barn”, the clubhouse has four indoor hitting bays with TrackMan technology, video cameras, television screens, and SAM PuttLab technology. A 500 square foot putting green also is available for use throughout the year. The Barn opened in 2014 and provides excellent practice facilities when the team is not playing at Old Waverly Golf Clubor the newly-opened Mossy Oak Golf Club.
Mississippi State University Women’s Golf is currently ranked 24th in the NCAA D-I. This past fall they were able to compete in three tournaments, and they recorded a 6th place finish in the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. Four of their players have a scoring average of under 75 for the 2020-21 academic year.
We wish Mississippi State University Women’s Golf continued success in the future!
