Kelly Shanahan
Graduating in Spring 2022
From Coral Springs, FL

This week we would like to feature Hub member Kelly Shanahan in the Athlete Spotlight! Kelly is from Coral Springs, FL, and she is currently in her junior year of high school. Just a few weeks ago, Kelly captured the FHSAA 2A State Championship in high school. She shot 71-69, and sank a 40 foot putt on the final hole of the event! Kelly finished the tournament at -4, and then came up big in the playoff after the runner-up made an eagle on the 72nd hole to tie her at -4. Her win in a field of 105 players beat third place by 10 shots, and her high school, American Heritage, won the team championship by 20 strokes.

She has been competing in state championships since 6th grade.  This past summer, Kelly has recorded 2 top-10 finishes in FJT events. She finished T-11 at the AJGA Senior Showcase at Saddlebrook.
