This week on the Hub Program Spotlight we would like to feature Middle Tennessee State University Men’s Golf, a program that competes in the NCAA D-I Conference USA. MTSU is one of the few fortunate programs to be able to continue competing in tournaments this fall during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Middle Tennessee State University Blue Raiders are led by head coach Mark McEntire ([email protected]), who has been coach of the team for the past 2 years and played collegiate golf at Texas. McEntire also competed in the U.S. Amateur in 1999 at Pebble Beach.
Despite their Spring 2020 season being shortened, the MTSU Blue Raiders have been competing in events this fall. More recently, the Blue Raiders have recently announced the opening of their new golf practice facility!

This new practice facility is open at MTSU’s home course, The Grove, a Greg Norman signature course. Worth $1,000,000, the new facility is available for use by both MTSU’s men’s and women’s golf programs. It features three indoor hitting bays and an indoor putting green with varying slopes. Two of the hitting bays will have TrackMan simulators.
This fall season the men’s program has played in three events, finishing in the top 6 of each. Last week, the Blue Raiders co-medaled at the Intercollegiate at The Grove, their home course. They shot team rounds of 283-289, finishing the event at -3 as a team. Redshirt sophomore Palmer Sadlowski shot the tournament low of 67 on the second day and sank the team’s winning putt.
