This week on the Hub Program Spotlight we would like to feature Indian Hills Community College Men’s Golf, a program in Iowa that competes in the NJCAA as part of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference. Indian Hills CC is one of the few fortunate programs to be able to continue competing in tournaments this fall during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program has played in multiple events against D-I teams in Iowa.
The Indian Hills Warriors are led by head coach John Mulholland ([email protected]), who has been coach of the team for the past two years and led the team to a runner up finish in the NJCAA National Championship in his first year. This 2018-19 year included 5 tournament wins for the Warriors, who have been NJCAA National Champions in 2000, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2018.
This fall, the Warriors’ Men’s Golf team has won 3 of their first 3 events! At the Klocke Family Classic at Hunter’s Ridge Golf Course, the team went -25 for 2 days, good enough for a 22-shot victory! The following week, Indian Hills Men’s Golf won at Southwestern Community College’s War at the Moor in Creston. 6 of 7 players shot rounds of 71 or below!
