As of April 8, 2020, 11 U.S. states have cancelled Spring high school sports. Geographically, most of the 11 are Midwest states, but the list also includes California and Georgia. The number of states shutting down brick and mortar school systems as well as cancelling Spring sports seasons will most like continue to rise in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
