Spring golf is here for college golfers and that means the exciting start of the Division I Men’s and Women’s golf conference championships. This year, the championships began on April 15 and will continue until the NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, CA in May. Each team who wins their conference title automatically earns a qualifying spot in the NCAA Regionals. A top finish at the Regionals gets a team a postseason bid, putting them one step closer to the NCAA Championship, where 30 men’s teams and 30 women’s teams will compete.

Southwestern Athletic
April 15-17
The Refuge Golf Course (Flowood, Mississippi)
Arkansas Pine-Bluff took home the win after beating Florida A&M by 9 shots. Pine-Bluff’s Jose Berenguel won medalist honors after finishing 4 under par.
Big South
April 18-21
Fripp Island Golf Resort (Fripp Island, South Carolina)
Winthrop beat Gardner-Webb 4-1 (in match play) for the Big South Conference title. High Point’s Fred Roberts IV received individual medalist honors.
American Athletic
April 19-21
Pelican Golf Club (Belleair, Florida)
South Florida defeated SMU by seven shots at the American Athletic Conference. USF’s Jake Peacock won the individual medalist honors by five.
Ivy League
April 19-21
Watchung Valley Golf Club (Watchung, New Jersey)
Yale beat Princeton at the Ivy League Championship by three shots. The Bulldogs’ Ben Carpenter finished 9 under to win by one shot.
Metro Atlantic Athletic
April 19-21
Disney Golf Course (Lake Buena Vista, Florida)
The Siena men’s team claimed their second MAAC title by beating Fairfield by three shots. Rider’s Ben Ortwein ended with an overall score of 4 under, placing him atop the individual standings.

April 19-22
Charlotte Country Club (Charlotte, North Carolina)
Wake Forest took home the ACC title over Florida State in the match-play final. Both Michael Brennan from Wake Forest and Florida State’s Frederik Kjettrup were declared co-conference champions after five playoff holes.

Highland Oaks (Dothan, Alabama)
Lipscomb had an incredible victory at the ASUN Men’s golf tournament with a total of 16 under, winning their first ever conference title. Four Bisons placed in the top nine, including co-medalists Will Holan and Ford Goldasich as the team topped Central Arkansas by 17 points.
Colonial Athletic Association

Dataw Island (Saint Helena Island, South Carolina)
College of Charleston beat Elon after shooting 35 under at the Colonial, breaking the school’s 54 hole conference tournament record. The co-individual champions from COC were Zach Reuland and Kieron van Wyk with both shooting 13 under.
Missouri Valley
April 21-23
The Club at Porto Cima (Sunrise Beach, Missouri)
Winning its fourth Missouri conference title, Southern Illinois shot eight under par to beat Missouri State yesterday. Edouard Cereto contributed greatly to the team’s victory as he shot seven under and took home medalist honors.

Reynolds Lake Oconee (Greensboro, Georgia)
East Tennessee State received its fourth straight Southern Conference title after beating Chattanooga by two shots and shooting a total of 30 under par. ESTU had two players earn medalist honors, with Matty Dodd-Berry and Mats Ege both shooting 13 under par.

The Shoals (Muscle Shoals, Alabama)
Tennessee Tech won their first conference title since 1990, where they beat Southern Illinois-Edwardsville in the match play final 3-2.

Whispering Pines (Trinity, Texas)
Beating Oklahoma by 18 shots, Texas won the conference title in its final season. TCU’s Gustav Frimodt, Oklahoma State’s Preston Stout, and Cincinnati’s Ty Gingerich all won medalist honors after shooting 9 under par.

Mission Inn Club and Resort (Howie-in-the-Hills, Florida)
Wright State took home the win at the Horizon League by 18 shots, with Andrew Flynn earning medalist honors.

Comanche Trace (Kerrville, Texas)
Augusta defeated Lamar with an 18 shot lead and won the Southland Conference title. By one shot, Augusta’s Cole Stevens beat teammate Stefan Jacobs to take home medalist honors.

Delaware won their third conference title in the program’s history with 45 over, finishing ahead of Charleston and UNCW. Junior Lilia Henkel won an individual title and became the second Blue Hen to receive the honor.

Kennesaw State took home the win and beat Lipscomb by two shots with their even par finish. Lipscomb’s Lauren Thompson received individual honors after shooting 11 under and winning by seven shots over runner-up Ivete Rodrigues from Jacksonville.

Spanish Trail Country Club (Las Vegas, Nevada)
Long Beach State won their conference title for the first time in five years. The team shot a collective 3 over to win by 23 shots in the team competition. The only player to finish under par individually was LBSU’s Jasmine Leovao who shot a 4 under and took home medalist honors.

Annbriar Golf Club (Waterloo, Illinois)
Illinois State won the Missouri Valley Conference title, beating out Drake by 13 shots and UIC by 12. Evansville’s Kate Petrova and Illinois State’s Ali Schrock both received medalist honors after shooting even par.

Tunica National (Tunica, Mississippi)
Little Rock left the Ohio Valley Conference victorious after shooting 47 over to win by eight strokes over Morehead State. Anna Dawson earned medalist honors, finishing with 7 over par, while Eleanore Aernouts placed second at 8 over.

Moss Creek Golf Club- South Course (Hilton Head Island, South Carolina)
East Tennessee State won the Southern Conference title with a 15 over finish and topped Stanford in second place by 13 shots. Furman’s Anna Morgan won the individual competition, making it her fourth win of the season.

Charleston South took home the conference title after finishing in the top spot after stroke play. CSU’s Odette Garcia went home with medalist honors after finishing even-par.
