Fresh talent has been discovered in the precision and discipline-driven game of golf in South Bay. The remarkable accomplishments of two junior golfers, namely Rose Callewaert of Redondo Beach and Nikki Oh from Torrance, on the Southern California PGA Junior Tour have been recognized recently.

During the SCPGA Junior Tour Virtual Banquet of Champions, a celebration of the past season’s achievements, the awards were presented. This virtual event not only acknowledges players who have excelled on the course, but also the immense support offered to junior golf by individuals and organizations.

Top Performances:

Last season, Rose Callewaert, a budding talent from Redondo Beach, stood out with her impressive results. Her victory in The Toyota Tour Cup at Los Robles SCPGA Junior Tour was particularly noteworthy. She demonstrated consistency by finishing in the top five, seven times, and exhibited her skills with nine rounds of par or better. Her lowest round was 68, with an overall scoring average of 73.17. The virtual banquet celebrated her dedication and hard work over the past season.

Another recipient of recognition was Nikki Oh from Torrance. She was named to the girls’ All-Southern California Junior Team, an honor for those who have shined at local, state, and national levels. Oh’s achievements are numerous. She climbed to the 8th position on the Junior Golf Scoreboard and was awarded an AJGA All-American Honorable Mention. Oh represented the United States at the 2025 Junior Ryder Cup, showcasing her potential on an international stage. She further added to her accolades by winning the Girls Championship in the AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions.
