Torque GC Partners with AJGA for 2026 Championship

Torque GC of the LIV Golf League and the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) have announced a major multi-year partnership. As part of this deal, the team will serve as the title sponsor for the upcoming Torque GC Championship. This collaboration aims to strengthen the bridge between junior golf and the professional global stage.

Tournament Details and Venue

The Torque GC Championship will return to the Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club in Florida for its second year. The main event is scheduled for June 9–11, 2026, and will feature 78 elite junior golfers. Additionally, an AJGA Qualifier will take place on June 8. This qualifier gives 78 more young athletes the chance to earn a spot in the final field. Consequently, the tournament offers a high-stakes environment for rising talent to showcase their skills.

A Shared History with AJGA Alumni

This partnership holds deep personal meaning for the Torque GC roster. Specifically, captain Joaquin Niemann, Abraham Ancer, and Carlos Ortiz all grew up competing in AJGA events. Niemann, a former First Team Rolex Junior All-American, won three AJGA titles during his amateur career. Ortiz and Ancer also honed their skills on this circuit before turning professional. Because of these roots, the team remains dedicated to providing similar opportunities for today’s youth.

Strengthening the Professional Pipeline

Captain Joaquin Niemann highlighted the importance of opening doors for the next generation. He noted that the AJGA was vital to his own development as a player. Furthermore, he believes this sponsorship helps create a clearer path to the world stage. AJGA Chief Business Officer Jason Etzen expressed similar excitement. He stated that the event will provide world-class experiences that shape the future of competitive golf.
