What a week at the beautiful Villa Roma Resort & Country Club! We were so proud to host 132 fantastic players at The Junior Golf Hub Open, and the competition was nothing short of incredible. We’ve never seen so many eagles! It was truly a treat to watch these talented juniors battle it out on the course.
In the Boys Division, Guolin Zeng of Yantai, Shandong Province, China, claimed his first-ever AJGA victory with a stellar performance. He finished at 12-under-par for the tournament, including a remarkable albatross on the par-5 15th hole in the final round. Close behind him was Rory Asselta of Ramsey, New Jersey, who secured second place at 9-under-par.
The Girls Division saw Yasmina Oralkhan of Brooklyn, New York, earn her maiden AJGA win. Her consistent play was key, as she was the only player in the Girls Division to shoot under par in all three rounds, finishing at 6-under-par. Cindy Yan of Ontario, Canada, had a fantastic tournament as well, carding a bogey-free second round and finishing in second place at 3-under-par.
It was a privilege to witness such high-level golf, and we congratulate all the players for their hard work and sportsmanship. We look forward to seeing what these incredible junior golfers accomplish next!
