Jimmy was not a highly recruited junior golfer. He played for Edina High School in Minnesota and didn’t even make his team’s state tournament lineup until his junior year. He improved his scoring average from 77 as a sophomore to 70 as a junior. He didn’t have a lengthy list of AJGA results or top national junior rankings, yet he put in the work, honed his game, and found the right fit for his development. Not every junior golfer is ready for the AJGA circuit from the beginning, and that’s okay.
