Rose Zhang, a distinguished alumna of Stanford University and rising star on the LPGA Tour, is set to host The Fortinet Stanford Invitational from February 16-19, 2025.

This event, organized in collaboration with the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), will convene elite female junior golfers at Stanford Golf Course, offering them a platform to compete at a premier venue.

Expressing her enthusiasm on Instagram, Zhang described the opportunity as a “complete full-circle moment,” reflecting on her own formative experiences with the AJGA during her junior golf years.

She emphasized the significance of hosting an AJGA invitational at Stanford, a place she considers home, and her excitement to witness talented junior players compete there.

Zhang’s journey from a celebrated amateur to a professional golfer has been marked by remarkable achievements. Since joining the LPGA Tour in 2023, she has secured two victories and amassed approximately $2.5 million in official prize money.

Her decision to host this tournament underscores her commitment to giving back to the golfing community and supporting the development of young female golfers.

The Fortinet Stanford Invitational is anticipated to be a significant event in the 2025 junior golf calendar, providing participants with the invaluable experience of competing at a collegiate-level course and the opportunity to engage with one of the sport’s prominent figures. Zhang’s involvement not only elevates the tournament’s prestige but also serves as an inspiration for aspiring golfers aiming to follow in her footsteps.

As the tournament date approaches, the golfing community eagerly awaits the convergence of emerging talent at Stanford, poised to witness high-level competition and the fostering of the next generation of female golfers.
