Junior Golf Hub’s College Prep Series

Junior players at the College Prep Series will participate in PDS testing, a state-of-the-art full game evaluation conducted by elite PGA and TPI-certified performance coaches. PDS helps players improve by systematically identifying weak links that prevent them from realizing their potential. Players and parents will also participate in detailed, guided sessions explaining the college golf recruiting process and featuring head coaches at top college golf programs including Dartmouth College (Alex Kirk, Women’s Golf), Columbia University (Rich Mueller, Men’s Golf), University of Connecticut (Dave Pezzino, Men’s Golf), Boston University (Bruce Chalas, Women’s Golf) and Princeton University (Erika DeSanty, Women’s Gol). Players and parents will leave with a detailed report covering the weaknesses that may be holding them back from college golf and with a thorough understanding of the recruiting process. Hosted by Golf Performance Center in Ridgefield, CT, the College Prep Series will provide answers to pressing questions including:

  • Is my game ready for college golf?
  • What are the weak links that are holding me back from realizing my potential?
  • What are college coaches looking for?
  • How can I get recognized?
  • How does the recruiting process work?
  • What is life like as a college golfer?

About Player Development Score (PDS)

How do you know if your game is ready for college golf?

It’s simple: Measure.

“That which can be measured, can be improved”

The PDS is a science-based evaluation of a player’s physical, mental and golf skills and gathers all the hard data needed to determine whether an athlete is ready to progress to the next level. The PDS takes a deep, objective look at key skill areas including putting, chipping, bunker play, shot making, mental proficiency and physical skills, and precisely identifies areas that need improvement. Hard data only, no guess work! The PDS relies heavily on an assessment of physical proficiency and a guiding philosophy that “Function Dictates Form,” which means that how the body functions will determine the form of your golf swing. With over 20 years of experience working with some of the best athletes in the world, we have discovered the link that makes the elite be elite. Understanding this method can unlock the code to better golf form leading to peak performance.
