Elon University ushered in a new athletic era on April 10, 2026. On that day, the school unveiled the renovated Holland House. This facility now serves as the primary home for the men’s and women’s golf programs. University leaders, such as President Connie Ledoux Book and Director of Athletics Jenn Strawley, attended the ceremony to celebrate the milestone.
Unveiling the Revamped Holland House
The Holland House sits on South Campus and carries over fifty years of history. Recently, the university transformed the building into a state-of-the-art golf hub. This transformation required a $3 million investment from alumni, parents, and friends. Consequently, these funds expanded the golf complex and propelled Elon’s training facilities into the top tier of collegiate golf.
Enhanced Facilities for Student-Athletes
The refurbished Holland House offers student-athletes a superior environment to learn and train. Specifically, the facility houses modern practice spaces and cutting-edge technology. These tools help players achieve both academic and athletic excellence. Furthermore, the expansion project improved the driving range. It now features a new 17,000-square-foot tee box and a renovated short-game area with reconstructed bunkers.
Fostering Team Culture
The building provides a centralized home base for both golf programs. Its strategic layout includes locker rooms, coaches’ offices, and quiet study areas. Additionally, the design features team engagement spaces and player meeting rooms. This environment intentionally fosters a strong team culture and supports student growth away from the course.
Upcoming Upgrades and Innovations
In the final phase of the project, the university will upgrade the existing W. Cecil Worsley III Golf Training Center. This facility originally opened in 2009 as an indoor practice space. It provides heated hitting bays and computerized swing analysis for training in any weather.
Moreover, the project added Trackman Range technology to the complex. This innovative system tracks every shot and gives coaches immediate data. As a result, athletes can practice more efficiently and enhance their performance quickly.

Jenn Strawley noted that the rededication marks a pivotal moment for Elon Athletics. It clearly shows the university’s commitment to providing top-tier technology to its students. Overall, this initiative sets a high standard for collegiate golf nationwide and nurtures a culture of excellence.
